From: Bob Sirhal, Commodore, Northeast Region
Subject: Regional Commodore's Award of Excellence

I am pleased to announce that a recognition has been approved by the Northeast Region for Sea Scout Ships that have achieved a high level of performance. The recognition is called the Regional Commodore's Award of Excellence and is presented to any Northeast Region Ship that has accomplished the following during the past twelve (12) months:

To receive this award, your Ship's Boatswain and Skipper must apply for it and receive approval from your local council. The award is a handsome certificate which will be presented to you either at the Regional Bridge of Honor or mailed to your Skipper. If your Ship qualifies for this recognition, you may also have three stars embroidered on your Ship flag.

This award is available now and will be presented at the Regional Bridge of Honor and Sea Scout Ball in March of each year.

Good luck and good Sea Scouting!!
